Bighorn Buckle Casting

This buckle was made between 1986 and 1987. It represents a study of American/Nimschke style scroll commonly used in firearms engraving. The original nickle silver buckles (which Weldon Lister still has) were done as mold masters for bronze and silver reproductions. To compliment the relieved background, the game heads were cut out and soldered on, then remodeled after the buckle blanks were engraved.

This is a picture of the actual casting. It is shown in a silver resin, but is available in bronze resin, too.
