Historic Yacht Elf Casting
Tira Mitchell designed and engraved the Historic Yacht Elf Casting in celebration of the restoration of the classic racing yacht Elf, an 1888 Lawley-built (Boston) '30-footer' class cutter. The yacht has been a continuous part of American maritime culture for more than a century. The original engraving is in domed nickel silver, and resin castings have been used for commemorative plaques and tokens of appreciation for special events and supporters.
For more about Elf, please visit http://www.cyrg.org/elf.htm. A portion from each sale will go toward the ongoing care and maintenance for the yacht.
Castings may be purchased inked or not inked for no extra charge. Some people prefer castings without ink for study.
